Overview

Famously referred to as 'The Switzerland of India' by Mahatma Gandhi, Kausani, is a quaint and peaceful little town perched on a hill offering panoramic views of the Himalayan peaks, Trishul, Panchchuli, and Nanda Devi.Kausani is a part of the Bageshwar District in Uttarakhand. In the southern part of the town is Kausani's market area and the northern part of the town comprises of elite hotels as well as the Anashakti Ashram, where Mahatma Gandhi briefly stayed. Also to the North, 20 km from Kausani, is the century-old Baijnath Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. With abundance of natural beauty surrounding the town, trekking is a popular activity here. The Girihas Tea Estate or Kausani Tea Estate is known for its delicious tea leaves and is worth a visit. This tea is available in eateries within the town as well. Must-haves to include in your shopping list while at Kausani are the Kausani shawls and freshly harvested honey from the forest.

Tour Plan

Day 01 :- Delhi to Nainital

Delhi to Nainital( 320 Kms - 9 Hours) On arrival in the Delhi airport/ railway station, proceed directly for Nainital by road. On arrival, check in to the hotel. After refreshing yourself at the hotel in Nainital, go on a sightseeing tour, beginning with boating on the famous Naini Lake (at your own cost) and visit to the holy Naina Devi Temple. After that, visit famous tourist spots like Naina Peak, SnowView and Lands End etc. In the evening, enjoy shopping at the Mall Road. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel. Note:- Tempo traveller or higher seating vehicle are allowed upto Nainital Parking only. For local sightseeing in Nainital guest has to take local vehicle for sightseeing from Nainital Union on direct payment basis. then drop to hotel and overnight stay.

Day 02 - Nainital Local sightseeing

After Morning Breakfast then Visit to local Nainital lake tour of Bhimtal, Sattal, Naukuchiatal. Drive back to Hotel, Dinner & Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 03 :- Nanital Almora to Kausani

After Morning Breakfast and then Visit to Local Sightseeing Kausani via Almora. When in Almora, Deer Park, Chitai Golu, and Devta Temple. Later continue the journey toward Kausani; upon arrival check out the hotel. Overnight stay at the Kausani.

Day 04 - Kausani Local Sightseeing

After Morning Breakfast Drop to Kausani Visit to local Sightseeing Baijnath temple. Here you will see many ancient idols and will also come across mahashir fish in the river waters. At the end of your visit, take your time to look at the setting sun and finally the sunset. Also visit Anashakti Ashram where Mahatama Gandhi stayed for few days. It will be a memorable evening. Have dinner and rest for the night at kausani. overnight stay at hotel.

Day 05 - Full Day Ranikhet Local Sightseeing

After Morning Beakfast then Visit to local Sightseeing Jhula Devi Temple, Ram Mandir, and Rani Jheel then drop to hotel and overnight stay.

Day 06 - Ranikhet to Delhi Airport / Railway station

Morning after breakfast check out from Hotel & transfer to Delhi for your return journey back home with unforgettable memories.
